Semester Reports
Semester Reports at Mount Ridley College differ from ongoing reporting. When undertaking Semester Reporting, what you must undertake is the uploading of the students Semester Progression points. This is the time to reflect on the semesters learning and triangulate data from a range of different sources to make an overall judgement about how far the student has progressed. As you have been completing your Learning Tasks across the semester, the comments in these tasks will be utilised as a part of the Semester Reports. Therefore, there are no official comments that need to be completed in relation to key summative tasks that have been undertaken throughout the Semester.
There is however an exception to the rule. If you have a student who is currently on an Individual Education Plan (IEP), those students will require an overall comment about their progress with their specifically targeted learning goals. These comments are required and will be undertaken by the English and Mathematics teachers only.

Please note, if you are teaching an elective-based subject which does not progress into the following year level, you may need to consider the Victorian Curriculum Progression levels across two-years of growth. For example, Students undertaken Performing Arts in Year 7 and not in Year 8. Therefore, Year 7 Performing Arts Curriculum will be covering aspects from Years 7 and 8 Victorian Curriculum Standards and a student could result in achieving a 6.5 - 8.0.
