Attendance process

Early Years

  • Attendance officer contacts home to follow up absence

  • If absence is greater than 9 days, Attendance officer reports to classroom teacher to create an ALP (LT is cc’ed)

  • ALP uploaded to Compass and sent on Teams or via email to families.

 

Junior Years 5 and 6

  • Attendance officer contacts home to follow up absence

  • If absence is greater than 9 days, Attendance officer reports to classroom teacher to create an ALP (LT is cc’ed)

  • ALP uploaded to Compass and sent on Teams or via email to families.

 

Year 7-12

  • Attendance officer contacts home to follow up absence

  • If absence is greater than 9 days, Attendance officer reports to TL to create an ALP (SM is cc’ed)

  • TL may have to liaise with classroom teachers to gain specific information of work

  • ALP uploaded to Compass and sent on Teams or via email to families.

  • These students are then identified/flagged by % or days and then if needed, an ALP is created

  • Student manager reports to classroom teacher to create an ALP (LT is cc’ed)

  • ALP uploaded to Compass and sent on Teams or via email to families.

Ranges for interventions:

95-100% no intervention

< 94% Classroom teachers will make contact home via phone. If contact is unable to be made, then a letter will be emailed/sent home.

< 70%  TLs/ Student managers will make contact home

< 60% LTs to contact home

 

7-12  

Ranges for interventions:

95-100% no intervention

< 94% Team leaders will make contact home via phone. If contact is unable to be made, then a letter will be emailed/sent home.

< 70%  Student managers will make contact home

< 60% LTs to contact home
